Rot

Whether physical or metaphorical rot is breaking down of a system. Whether a work structure a toxic relationship or the decomposition of an organic being rot is the sign of death. It’s a sign of unhealthiness.

Rot is one of those things that has to be dealt with or it will affect the entirety of what’s left healthy. If the wood of a house starts to rot it needs to be removed otherwise the rest of the house will start decay. An unhealthy sector of a business if left to fester can start to affect the other productive departments. It’s part of the body begins to rot it has to be removed to preserve what remains.

Decay also brings stench. It gives warning signs. It gives an indicator that something isn’t right and many times if the the warning is acknowledged the system can be saved.

When I walked into my house today, I could smell decay. Something crawled under the house and died. Whether a mouse, possum, a squirrel whatever it is it has begun to rot. I will have to find and remove what is there otherwise as the temperatures rise the stench will become unbearable.

Whenever there is rot in your life or business find it and remove it before it is too late. Look for your warning signs and make things healthy again.
